New ‘Cube in Cube’ filter solution for dry and dusty overspray
With this additional system component, Brainflash GmbH, Germany, is expanding its modular
Edrizzi® paint mist collection system to include a further solution for demanding painting conditions.
With the newly developed Cube-in-Cube module, the edrizzi® system fills a gap in applications
involving low initial pressure differentials and dry dust, notes a press release from the company. The
filter has been specially designed for oversprays with high drying speeds and dust generation and
can be used in the first separation stage as an Edrizzi® Vario paint mist separator. It is also possible
to install the module as a CUBE02 after-filter behind an Edrizzi® Vario to guarantee maximum
separation efficiency and service life.
The filter area of 0.85 m² is made from bonded Naffi® filter fleece, stabilised by a cardboard backing.
In fact, the Naffi® filter medium used was developed exclusively for industrial painting within the
Edrizzi® system. It consists of 100% recycled polyester, is glass-fibre-free and can be used without
personal protective equipment. The module thus contributes to improving workplace conditions in
the paint shop.
The compact and easy to pack and store Cube-in-Cube is already being used successfully in a wide
variety of industrial applications, including facilities in the furniture and automotive sectors. In
several cases, no additional post-filtration stage is required, which underscores the high efficiency
and high separation efficiency of the new module.
