External Enclosure — a purpose-built mounting solution designed for remote monitoring
installations where space inside the rectifier cabinet is limited or unavailable.
The RM510 External Enclosure addresses one of the most common installation challenges in
cathodic protection remote monitoring: compact rectifier units, such as shoebox-style rectifiers,
often do not provide adequate internal space for a monitoring unit. Without a dedicated external
solution, these configurations required custom workarounds or went unmonitored.
The new enclosure arrives pre-wired with the Bullhorn RM510’s I/O connections, power supply, and
REL2510 Solid-State Relay already in place, saving technicians the time and effort of manual wiring.
Technicians can mount it directly on the exterior of any rectifier without assembly, reducing
installation time and eliminating the need for additional components. The housing is rated to IP65
standards, engineered to withstand rain, dust, and the environmental conditions pipeline equipment
faces in the field.
